Everyone gets excited about fall as the days go by and the leaves in our yard, on the streets, and in the parks begin to change in colour. In Canada, fall is the season of vibrant hues like red, yellow, orange, green, and pink. This is the season when the nation's vivid hues make it appear most gorgeous.

As soon as fall arrived, I went to visit the park in my area because I had planned to go there as soon as the leaves coloured. There are expansive football fields, a tennis court, and walkways in this lovely Scarborough park. I was astounded by the surrounding falls of trees as I strolled down the route. While the leaves of some trees were yellow, those of others were a vivid crimson hue. There were also trees with leaves that were partially green and partially red. The three types of trees are pine, maple, and northern red oak.

I pulled out my book and took a seat behind one of the trees to read for a bit. Sitting there, reading, and observing the park goers was quite serene. There was a refreshing wind and the ideal temperature. I moved to the opposite section of the park, where there is a meadow, after reading for a bit. I enjoyed the meadow and the pretty pinkish-blue horizon while I sat on the seat.

I saw folks walking by as I was seated on the bench. Some came to walk their dogs, while some little children came with their parents to play football and baseball. Other young kids were playing on the slides and running around.

Watching the squirrels play with the nuts, the pine cones that had fallen from the pine trees, and the verdant grass covered in layers of dried leaves made the whole scene seem like something out of a fairy tale. I spent my evenings doing nothing but relaxing in the great outdoors and spending time with myself.
