Chill Thrills: Snow Tubing in Barrie!!

I had the chance to go snow tubing from my university a few weeks ago. As usual, I was overjoyed. We left the university and headed for Snow Valley Resort in Barrie. We talked, played games, and enjoyed the lovely scenery outside as we travelled. I saw vast farms blanketed in snow, and huge spaces devoid of any homes or natural habitat.

Fortunately, the day was clear and without any precipitation, despite the wind chill component. I also came upon old wooden farm homes that had been left abandoned. After travelling for around 45 minutes, we arrived at our destination. We started with watching videos and paying attention to the safety recommendations when snow tubing. After grabbing our helmets, we proceeded to the barn to pick up our snow tubes.

We started walking towards the long line that would lift us higher after descending the hill and getting our personal snow tubes. Along with my friends, I waited for my turn in the queue. I sat on my tube after the tubing assistant fastened it to the cable hook that moved upward.

Almost all of us were initially frightened when the first draw was that strong. When we finally arrived at the highest point, I experienced tubing solo the first time we slided down.

With strength, the hill descended at an almost 70-degree angle. Coming down the slope was incredibly exciting and exhilarating, giving me a huge rush of adrenaline. I felt the chilly wind as I went downward. Once we arrived at the end, the task at hand was to transport the orifice tubes to the opposite end from the starting place where the cable led upward. The following time, I went in groups of three and five, and we locked our legs to form a circle while holding each other's tubes. Sliding down with friends was fun to do.

We ultimately made our way to the larger snow tubing area slowly. The inclination of this slope was over eighty degrees. The snow on the ground was crashing in our faces as we slid, adding to the enjoyment of tubing. Here, we also experimented in various group sizes and solo.

The view from the top was breathtaking. I could see snow-covered mountains and blue skies with numerous large white clouds. The resort also offered additional activities like snow boarding and skiing. By driving the snow vehicle over the snow to ensure appropriate layering, the resort maintains the snow. It was time to wrap up our exciting tubing adventure and eat the meal. We ate delicious home-cooked food that everyone offered. We also spent some time in the cold beside the fireplace.

Little ponds that were half frozen were located next to the boardwalk. At last, we boarded our bus to begin our return trip to the university. We sang songs, played games, and cherished the mesmerising sunset on the way back. It was an exciting and memorable wintertime activity.

I went with a new group of people, and as a result, I made a lot of new friends from a variety of backgrounds. I was nervous about making new friends at first, but I soon became comfortable and had a wonderful time interacting with them all. It was also wonderful to visit yet another stunning area of Canada.
